See The Woman

See the Woman was written originally by my dad. With his continued guidance, I felt compelled to reclaim it, for the woman, reciting, and speaking through the woman in my own voice. With a caring intent through his powerful words and harmony of father and daughter collaboration, by honoring the original vision, I reimagined its spirit for the advocacy of women surviving and thriving through generational trauma. ‘Pidamaya ye’ [Thank you] Dad for the lessons, love, and challenges that gave me the strength to heal and to continue the purpose of our journey together. I know that you are surrounded by our grandmothers and ancestors who shine brighter with you there. I got this, for you.
